Meet Bryant

Bryant’s Place was founded in 2016 in honor of my brother, Bryant Rogers, who was born with cerebral palsy and required extensive, hands-on care. I was only eight years old when Bryant came into our lives, but from the very beginning, I observed and embraced every detail of his care.

Our family made the decision to care for Bryant at home, and we believe that love, consistency, and a nurturing environment played a powerful role in helping him surpass his expected life span. God blessed us with several extra years to experience his radiant smile and unforgettable laugh—and for that gift, we will be eternally grateful.

Navigating the Journey of Home Care: A Compassionate Guide

Step 1: Recognize the Need with Empathy

Begin by observing changes in your loved one’s physical, emotional, or cognitive well-being. Whether it’s difficulty with daily tasks, increased isolation, or medical complexities, acknowledging the need for support is the first act of compassion. Approach the conversation gently, focusing on dignity, independence, and shared decision-making.

Step 2: Choose the Right Care Partner

Research providers who align with your values and your loved one’s needs. Look for licensed professionals, personalized care plans, and a warm, respectful approach. Ask questions about services, communication, and continuity of care. The right partner will feel like an extension of your family.

Step 3: Create a Supportive Home Environment

Once care begins, focus on building a nurturing atmosphere. Collaborate with caregivers, maintain routines, and incorporate comforting touches — favorite meals, music, or family visits. Home care works best when it’s not just clinical, but deeply human.
